Barnsley - Monk Bretton



Monk Bretton – has an excellent suite of premises that enable us to achieve our outreach and mission to the community. We have a Peace Garden.

Our premises are well used by community groups such as One Stop Shop, Rangers, Guides, Brownies, Monday Youth Club, U3A and Band rehearsals.

Monthly coffee mornings and other events through the year draw the community in to share in concerts, fairs and seasonal celebrations.

Weekly Activities:

Monday – U3A History (alternate weeks) 10am to 12noon
Monday – Fitness Class – 6pm to 7pm
Tuesday – Functional Yoga – 7pm to 8pm
Wednesday – Heartbeeps – 10am to 3.30pm
Wednesday – U3A Literature (alternate weeks)- 2pm to 4pm
Thursday – One Stop Shop Community drop-in facility for information and social activities – 9.45am to 11am, including chair exercise taking place at 10am to 11am
Friday – Bloom Baby Class – 10am to 12 noon

Monday (Fortnightly) – U3A Sound bath 10.30am to 12 noon
Tuesday (1st of every month except July) – Friendship Cafe
Wednesday (2nd of every month) – Crime & Safety Committee Group – 6pm to 7pm
Wednesdaty (Monthly) – Friends of Monk Bretton Park 6pm to 7pm
Thursday (Alternate weeks) – U3A Brush Strokes Class – 10.30am to 12.30pm
Thursday – (2nd & 4th of every month) – U3A Theatre Group – 2pm to 4pm
Thursday – (Fortnightly) – U3A Sound bath – 11.30am to 1pm
