Lifepath Barnsley – "Best school trip ever!"

Emmanuel Methodist Church welcomed 150 Year 5 pupils over 3 days at the beginning of June for Lifepath Barnsley.

Exploring the life and faith of Barnsley's own James Hudson Taylor, the children from 4 local primary schools, and our fantastic team of volunteers from churches in and around the town had a brilliant time! One child said it was the "best school trip ever!"

Hudson Taylor was a missionary to China and there was a drama to watch and get involved in about his life both in England and overseas. We were creative with Chinese-themed crafts – making fans, sculpting own Terracotta Army and learning how to use chopsticks. And, a there was a time to reflect on our own Lifepath in the Prayer Journey and in the worship.

Lifepath Barnsley will be running again in 2016.
