Hemsworth Methodist Church is situated in the town centre.
The building is on two levels with street level entrance to both. The spacious hall / worship area is on the lower level with chairs and computerized projection facilities for worship and other presentations.
Along with Sunday worship, it is a venue for many church and comunity activities during the week serving all ages. Small Frys is a parent and toddler group. Littles Fishes is a junior youth club divided into 2 groups for ages 5-8 years and 9 years +
The Church has good ecumenical relationships with the Church of England, Christian Fellowship and the Roman Catholics.
The upper level has recently been refurbsihed as The Little Fishes Soft Play Centre and cafe.

Weekly Activities

• Sunday – Worship is at 10.30am with coffee being served before 10am
• Monday – Junior Kickboxing – 6.15pm to 7pm and Adult Kickboxing 7.15pm to 8.15pm
• Tuesday – Karate ages 4-7 years – 5.45pm to 6.30pm and ages 8-13 years – 6.45pm to 7.30pm Adult karate – 7.45pm to 8.45pm for details contact hemsworth@phoenixmartialarts.org
• Wednesday – Small Frys Toddler Group – 9.15am to 11.15am – Term Time Only
• Wednesday – Little Fishes (Junior Church) – ages 5-8 years – 6pm to 7pm and 9+ years – 7.10pm to 8.10pm – Term Time Only
• Thursday – 12 noon over 50's luncheon club in the Play Centre
• Thursday – Slimming group – 6pm – 7pm
• Saturday – Cre-8 Craft group (1st Saturday of each month) – 10am – 12noon)
