Brierley Methodist Church was formerly a Working Men's club and was opened in 1934 as a Methodist church when the Primitive Methodists and Wesleyans joined together.
A major refurbishment of the church and grounds completed in May 2012 now offer up-to-date facilities including projector and screen for presentations, flexible multi-purpose worship area with kitchenette, excellent facilities for the disabled, including a chair lift and disabled toilets and parking.

- Monday — Knit & Natter — 2pm to 3pm
- Monday — Slimming World — 5.30pm & 9pm
- Tuesday — Brownies — 5.30pm to 7pm
- Wednesday — Bible Study — 7pm to 8pm
- Thursday weekly — Pop-In Coffee Morning — 9.15am to 11am
- Friday — Rainbows — 4.30pm to 5.30pm
- Friday — Line Dancing — 7pm to 9pm
- Saturday — Dancers — 9am to 12.30pm
