Webteam: November 2018
231 shoe boxes sent from the Barnsley Circuit.
Blythswood Care on 13th November were collecting from Barnsley Circuit, a school in Barnsley, Doncaster and Skegness — and ours was largest collection of day.
The pick up team Derek, Richard and Bob enjoyed a cup of tea at Valley courtesy of Barbara and Bill before setting off again.
The 3 of them do trips each day week commencing 12th November and then on the Saturday 60 volunteers from local churches will check around 3000 boxes (including ours) in Wigston Leics.
These will be sent on their way to Romania where in 2 weeks time they will begin to be offloaded to distribution points in various towns and churches. Derek told us that an engineering firm near to his church in Wigston is packing 1000 boxes this year — especially for teenage boys as they tend to receive the lowest number of boxes each year!
The aim is for the local churches to then circulate them as needed in time for Christmas!
Thank you to everyone who contributed and well done Barnsley Circuit

We had a great turnout for the circuit service on 30th December at Monk Bretton. The service was based around the theme of making connections and paper chains were brought from each chapel and joined together to make an extremely long chain. Each chapel had been encouraged to form their paper chain from links added by people coming through their buildings during the Advent and Christmas period...
