Sunday 3 March was a momentous occasion for Great Houghton Methodist chapel when, during the morning service, six people were received into membership. Rev. Mick Neal led the service, which included several favourite hymns chosen by the new members and a time of sharing together their relevance, and that of other hymns. The sacrament of a holy Communion was shared and each new member presented with a Bible or book of their choice.
As would expect at Great Houghton, food was served after the service and we all enjoyed Yorkshire puddings with stew followed by a choice of delicious desserts, coffee and cakes.
