Webteam: June 2019
On Pentecost Sunday, 9th June, the members of the Methodist Church Barnsley North East met to celebrate Pentecost, the birthday of the Church. We joined in hymns & songs, listened to the bible reading and then split into groups to think about the themes of Pentecost. In the sermon a popcorn maker made an appearance, the craft group created a banner of flames and the third group shared thought in a bible study. As part of our celebration we also presented gifts to the Rev Claire Rawlinson as she takes the next step in her Christian journey, ordination at the Methodist conference at the end of the month.Afterwards we had a bring and share lunch and took the opportunity to chat with our friends from across the church.
